Post-Doc Position, Use of First Row Transition Metals for Catalytic Bond Activation
University of Bern
The research involves the synthesis of new complexes of first row transition metals that contain mesoionic ligands, their full characterization, and their evaluation as catalysts for reactions that involve the activation of unreactive bonds.
The ideal candidate holds a PhD in chemistry with a solid background in organometallic chemistry and in homogeneous catalysis. Previous experience with mesoionic ligand systems is highly desirable.
The candidate should be fluent in English, able to work independently, and have a demonstrated track record of high impact research and of bringing research projects to completion. The University of Bern is an equal opportunity employer and strives to increase the number of women. Qualified female researchers are especially encouraged to apply.
