Postdoc Position on "Epithelial and Mucosal Staphylococcus Aureus Immunity"

The Professorship of Translational Immunology at Environmental Medicine, UNIKA-T Augsburg at TUM seeks a Postdoctoral Candidate for the topic “Epithelial and mucosal Staphylococcus aureus immunity” at earliest possible starting date.
This postdoc position is part of a DFG-funded project in the research team of Professor Dr. med. Renner located in Augsburg. This experimental laboratory research project has the goal to understand epithelial and mucosal immunity against S. aureus with the help of rare monogenetic diseases such as hyper-IgE syndromes.
Promising applicants hold a doctoral degree in the fields of cell biology, (human) biology, molecular biotechnology, pharmacy, molecular medicine or biochemistry with a focus on molecular immunology and cell culture. Profound knowledge and experiences in primary cell culture, immunology and molecular biology techniques such as flow cytometry, primary epithelial and mucosal cell culture handling are required. Strong communication and organizational skills and experience in guiding technical assistance and PhD students are expected. Advanced English-language as well as scientific writing skills, basic knowledge in statistics and laboratory work are mandatory.
