Professor in Innate Immunology

The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics wishes to strengthen its research expertise and activities in Innate Immunology with the focus on molecular cell biology of immunology in support of a strategic focus area in Molecular Medicine (please see the strategy of the department). The candidate is expected to play a central role in recruiting and supervising pre- and post-doctoral fellows as well as in teaching courses in immunology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels


The applicant should hold a PhD degree in molecular, cell or structural biology, or a closely related field. The successful candidate is expected to establish strong interdisciplinary research and teaching collaborations at Aarhus University, in particular between the faculties of Science and Technology and Health Sciences.

The applicant must possess an excellent scientific track record, strong teaching skills, an excellent ability to attract external funding as well as a demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain collaboration nationally and internationally.
