Post-doc position Ecology, Genomics and Molecular Pathogenesis of KKebsiella Pneumoniae
We are looking for a young talented researcher in microbial ecology or molecular pathogenesis to perform the following tasks:
- Sample Klebsiella pneumoniae from natural environments;
- Characterize strains by genomics and phenotypic methods;
- Identify human colonization or virulence-associated candidate factors using GWAS;
- Perform functional studies on the identified candidates.
Experience in molecular biology, reverse genetics and infection/colonization models is a priority. Innovative thinking, work autonomy and good communication skills are important. Population genetics and bioinformatics experience will be appreciated but are not absolutely required as they can be provided by members of the lab.
