The Professor role will provide academic leadership at the most senior level. It will enhance the academic standing and financial sustainability of the School by: securing high quality research funding; publishing research of the highest quality; developing and delivering high quality educational programmes; contributing to external knowledge translation and enterprise. There will be the opportunity to analyse data and collaborate on publications from related ongoing studies at LSHTM, including studies in low and middle income countries. It is expected that there will be some overseas travel. Teaching of postgraduate students will also be involved as appropriate, particularly on the MScs in Epidemiology and/or Medical Statistics.
Candidates will have a PhD in a relevant field and strong quantitative skills as well as an established international reputation and a considerable record of research and publication. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to obtain major research funding and leading a multidisciplinary team. Teaching and research degree supervision experience are both essential.
