Research Fellow in Biophotonics/Raman Spectroscopy
University of Nottingham
Nottingham, United Kingdom
pplications are invited for a postdoctoral research position for an interdisciplinary project between the Biophotonics Group in the School of Physics and Astronomy (University of Nottingham) and the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The project is focused on developing novel Raman microscopy techniques for medical diagnosis.
Experience in developing confocal Raman spectrometers or auto-fluorescence imaging systems for biomedical applications, based on microscopes, fibre optics probes, spatial light modulators are desirable.
The candidate must have a Bsc/MPhys Degree in Physics related subject and PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Biomedical Engineering.
Expertise. Candidates require previous experience in spectroscopy applications to biological samples (cells and tissues).
