Scientist in Plant Cell Biology

Position
You will be working on scientific innovations as a member of a research team developing novel mutagenesis methods. In this program you will be responsible for leading and carrying out high quality research and to develop and improve new tissue culture techniques, focusing specifically on protoplast culture and regeneration. You will work in close collaboration with technicians, cell biologists and molecular geneticists.
Your profile
Required
- a scientific expert in plant cell biology or plant molecular biology;
- a PhD degree in plant cell biology or plant molecular biology;
- at least 6 years of experience in plant research;
- a track record of publications on the development of tissue culture and regeneration protocols for crop plants;
- good communicator;
- creative and customer oriented;
- able to think critically in experimental design and interpretation;
- able to work independently as well as in a team.
Preferred
- a particular affinity for plant protoplast isolation, culture and regeneration and interested to develop this further in a commercial setting
- ambitious to operate at the forefront of implementing technological innovations and to achieve breakthrough results with your collaborators
- first hand knowledge of plant molecular biology
- experience in plant genetic transformation
