Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, Epigenomics

The person to be appointed to an Assistant or an Associate Professor position should have a strong background in epigenetics (epigenetic modifications, particularly DNA methylation and histone modifications), or statistical genetics, biostatistics, computational genomics or related disciplines. The applicant should be able to analyze data from methylation arrays, genotyping arrays, exome/genome sequencing, andhave expertise and experience in population-scale genomic data analysis. Some experience in Molecular/Cell Biology is regarded favorably but is not mandatory.
A person to be appointed as an associate professor in the Tenure Track shall hold a suitable doctoral degree and have good teaching skills. Furthermore, a person to be appointed as an associate professor in the Tenure Track shall have the prerequisites for fulfilling the qualification requirements of a professor by the end of the Tenure Track term (UEF University Regulations, Section 31).

Scientific achievements in the field of the position (to be demonstrated through publications) and previous experience in university-level teaching, supervision of Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral students, responsible tasks in research projects, acquisition of research funding and engagement in international cooperation will be regarded as merits. A successful applicant will also have good cooperation skills.
English may be used as the language of instruction and supervision in this position.
