Imaging Physicist for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Research

We are looking for responsible, dedicated biophysicist for advanced cardiovascular magnetic resonance examinations. We seek a highly motivated individual to join Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance research group (CMR) of ICRC. CMR group is focused on development of new protocols of heart imaging and identifying novel imaging biomarkers for the prediction of early myocardial dysfunction. The main purpose is to improve the noninvasive diagnostics of early forms of myocardial diseases contributing especially to heart failure. Early and accurate diagnosis of myocardial dysfunction and structural abnormalities that are known to precede the development of manifest symptomatic heart failure can provide several potential benefits and can lead to better shortterm and long-term prognosis of patents, decrease patent morbidity and mortality, and improve their quality of life.

You will:

  • provide comprehensive medical physics services in cardiac MR imaging;
  • optimize and troubleshoot clinical sequences and protocols;
  • participates in the implementation of new procedures and technologies;
  • contributing to developing new clinically relevant cardiac MR applications;
  • do MR postprocessing;
  • provide data management assistance;
  • contributing to the drafting and submitting of abstracts and manuscripts.

Our requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Biomedical Physics, Imaging Physics or related field;
  • knowledge of MRI physical principles, including clinical applications and safety;
  • previous experience in cardiology, clinical or experimental cardiac imaging and MR postprocessing is appreciated, but not strictly required;
  • pulse sequence programming desired;
  • will to learn new techniques and methodologies a perform research;
  • proactive approach is very appreciated;
  • reliability and responsibility, exact working, technical skills;
  • experience using Matlab is appreciated.
