We offer a Post-Doc position in the group of PD Dr Roman Nawroth at the department of Urology. Topic: Identification of mechanisms of resistance against small molecules using CRISPR-dCas9 technology.
Despite extensive research, molecular mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapies are poorly understood. Our group applied a genome wide CRISPR-dCas9 screen to identify molecular mechanisms and predictive biomarker for therapy response to CDK4/6 inhibitors in bladder cancer cell lines. We will now extend this technology to other treatment strategies and work with novel and improved CRISPR technologies. The main project of the candidate is to implement a novel genome wide CRISPR screen. Supervision of PhD and MD students will be mandatory. In addition, the candidate will be also involved in the organization of a database for peripheral blood of patients which will take approximately 15% of the time.
