A Post-doctoral Research Assistant position is available for 3 years funded by the MRC.
The successful applicant will be based at St George’s University London (SGUL) working in the Lymphovascular Research group. The post holder will be involved in the in-vitro validation and further functional characterization of rare mutations identified by whole exome sequencing and whole genome sequencing in patients with primary lymphoedema and lymphatic malformations.
The post holder will have a PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics or cell biology. Post-doc experience preferentially in the fields of lympho-vascular research or gene expression regulation is desirable. A good understanding of the lymphatic system biology and function will be highly valuable. An academic interest and initiative which allows for development of the lymphatic genetics programme at SGUL will be advantageous.
