A Post-Doctoral position is immediately available in Nuclear Proteomics and Gene expression regulation laboratory of Dr. Tiziana Bonaldi at the Department of Experimental Oncology of the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) IRCCS in Milano.
Our research focuses on integrating multiple MS-based proteomics approaches to characterize the contribution of epigenetic enzymes (with a special focus on protein methyl-transferases and demethylases) in defining heterogeneity, plasticity, and response to treatment and in cancer, with a focus on breast and ovarian cancer.
Within a multi-disciplinary project whereby MS-based profiling of post-translational modifications is coupled with epigenomics and transcriptomics analyses, together with the pharmacological and genetic modulation of epigenetic enzymes, we are seeking for a highly motivated post-doctoral applicant, who will contribute to the functional and mechanistic investigation of the role of epigenetic enzymes in ovarian cancer chemo-resistance, at the transcriptional, translational and metabolic level.
Requisites of the candidate:
- PhD degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Oncology, Systems Medicine or related disciplines;
- Expertise in biochemistry and cellular biology techniques;
- Strong experience in biochemistry and molecular biology, including genome editing.
- Expertise in Mass Spectrometry/Proteomics will be considered a plus
- Good knowledge of the English language;
- Reliability, precision; strong commitment to science
- Excellent communication skills and strong attitude toward team work.
