Project description
We are searching for a candidate to conduct original research in the area of near field cosmology. Areas of interest include dwarf galaxies formation and evolution, the nature of dark matter and alternatives to CDM, the Milky Way and Local Group of galaxies. We are mainly looking for candidates with interests in developing and/or running and analysis of cosmological simulations.
The candidate will join the newly established research group of Azadeh Fattahi at Stockholm university. She/he is encouraged to collaborate with researchers at Stockholm, as well as internationally with scientists at the Virgo Consortium for cosmological simulations.
Main responsibilities
The candidate will conduct original research in the area of near field cosmology, dwarf galaxies and dark matter. She/he will be expected to lead research articles and to present key research results at international scientific conferences.
Qualification requirements
Postdoctoral positions are appointed primarily for purposes of research. Applicants are expected to hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country.
