Research Engineer Position in the Di Santo Lab

Institut Pasteur

Paris, France

The Innate Immunity Unit at Institut Pasteur (Inserm U1223) wishes to hire a qualified engineer to join a project aimed at understanding mechanisms regulating human Innate Lymphoid Cell (ILC) differentiation. Long-term goals of this program are to develop novel human ILC-based cell therapies. We are looking for motivated individuals with extensive experience in tissue culture (human lymphocytes), cell transfection/transduction, flow cytometry, immunoassays and unbiased approaches such as single cells transcriptomics to characterize molecular and cellular mechanisms. Using a single ILC precursor cloning technique developed in the lab (Lim et al. Cell 2017; Croft et al. Nat. Comm. 2023), we will define pathways required for robust mature ILC generation with an aim to create genetically modified human ILCs with unique properties. Funding through ANR AAPG 2024 ‘ILC_BY_DESIGN’.

Recent PhD in cell biology, immunology or related biomedical field, with a track record of publications and lab experience in one or more areas that include: lymphocyte development, infection/immunity, vaccinology. Highly motivated candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Specific Requirements

  • Required: Solid experience with in vitro cell culture models, flow cytometry, cell transduction/transfection, immunoassays;
  • Desirable: Experience in RNAseq, transcriptomics data analysis;
  • Would be a plus: Previous experience in scripting languages (R) and Seurat.
