Key responsibilities

  • Development of novel high-content assays for drug screening in a multi-task project;
  • Growing cell cultures in ongoing projects;
  • Execute medium to high-throughput assays for drug discovery and further compound pharmacological characterization;
  • Work collaboratively with other scientists in particular for the generation of new scripts or analytical AI and Machine Learning-based methods for high content analysis;
  • Execute, troubleshoot and communicate tasks independently and effectively;
  • Perform data analysis and write reports on research findings, reporting directly to the project leader;
  • Maintain extremely organized and accurate records;
  • Provide regular feedback at inter-team meetings;
  • Provide routine scientific reports.

Your background

  • MSc in Biology, Molecular Biosciences, Biotechnology or related disciplines with a minimum of four years of experience in an industrial environment (preferably Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biosciences, Molecular Cell Biology, Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, or related scientific disciplines with a minimum of two years of experience in an academic post-doc or industrial environment);
  • Strong experience with mammalian cell culture (experience with hiPSC/hESC and primary cells is highly desired);
  • Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry and imaging acquisition (in particular confocal imaging) strong experience and basic knowledge of FRET analysis;
  • Experience with High Content Screening systems in a medium to high-throughput assay fashion with strong skills in cell-based assay development and validation with standard HTS/HCA parameters;
  • Knowledge of large data transfer will be a plus;
  • Knowledge of intracellular cell signaling and pathways characterization;
  • Knowledge of the cellular mechanism of protein-to-protein interaction is desirable;
  • Experience with standard molecular biology techniques - i.e. siRNA qPCR, and eventually Western blotting is a plus;
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a substantial workload;
  • Good spoken and written English.
