Within the Department of Precision Health, Dr. Torsten Bohn, Head of the Nutrition & Health Research Group (NUTRIHEALTH), and his team aim to explore dietary patterns, their nutrient and non-nutrient composition, and their association with chronic conditions such as metabolic syndrome. An important focus of the group is examining the relationship between dietary patterns and health outcomes, along with innovative biomarkers of dietary intervention, including oxidative stress, body composition, micronutrients, and phytochemicals.
For an interdisciplinary intervention study involving various LIH partners, conducting a human study on the effects of Westernized and Mediterranean diets on diverse multi-modal cardiometabolic outcomes, including multi-omics, we are offering a 24-month post-doctoral position at our premises.
The main tasks of the post-doctoral fellow will include planning and coordinating the nutrition intervention study alongside Dr. Bohn and other PIs at LIH, as well as analyzing and evaluating the findings. As part of this work, the post-doctoral fellow will benefit from the local expertise of Dr. Torsten Bohn in nutrition and health, the Nutri-Health team, and collaboration with other PIs across LIH departments. Statistical support and in-house assistance for conducting clinical trials are also available.
