Quandela
Paris, France
You will contribute to the research roadmap of Quandela by improving the micropillar fabrication process and by designing new devices. Your results will influence the research strategy for next-generation production devices as well as advancing the field of single-photon sources.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the production of Quandela’s single-photon sources.
- Identify and improve fabrication steps impacting device performance.
- Conceptualize and test new designs for improved single-photon sources brightness and indistinguishability.
- Build and operate custom setups to characterize the devices.
- Implement a research roadmap and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
- Systematically document the results and report your findings (including patents, scientific publications and participation in international conferences).
- Collaborate with the production teams to transfer successful results.
Requirements
You must be highly skilled in nano-micro processing techniques (thin film deposition, lithography, etching, etc.) and must have experience with electrical and optical characterization of III-V semiconductor heterostructures for optical devices.
What are your main qualifications and experience?
- PhD in a topic with relevant experimental work in micro-fabrication of optical devices.
- Strong fundamentals in nano-micro processing techniques.
- Understanding of optical microcavities and semiconductor heterostructures.
- Proven ability to build and run complex experiments from the ground up.
- Software coding using Python or other common languages.
- Team player with an ability to work effectively across multiple projects and departments.
- Ability to work independently.
