As a successful applicant, you will join our Science and Research - Analytical Sciences department in Geneva. You are a highly motivated chemist eager to strengthen our expertise in our "Manufacturing Process Development and Optimization" group and contribute to the development of our new products through analytical chemistry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, address and resolve chemical development and production challenges by conducting detailed analytical investigations and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, applying your expertise in analytical and organic chemistry.
- Propose innovative approaches, such as advanced spectroscopic techniques, to enhance the success of process and reaction monitoring initiatives.
- Manage and mentor a team of technicians, fostering their professional development and ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of their various projects.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute experiments to effectively address the scientific challenges presented.
- Build strategic relationships and communicate results clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
You Bring:
- PhD in chemistry, with proven theoretical and hands-on experience in analytical chemistry and sound knowledge of organic chemistry.
- Strong background in qualitative and quantitative chromatography (GCMS, LCMS), and vibrational spectroscopy a plus.
- Track record in statistics, advanced (multivariate) data processing, with special focus on compound identification.
- Sound knowledge of chromatographic and spectroscopic software, as well as programming skills (Python, R) is a plus.
- Creativity and imagination to solve complex analytical problems following a rigorous scientific approach.
- Open-minded personality and ability to deliver in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent team spirit, communication and organization skills and networking capability.
- Fluent in English, working knowledge of French is considered a plus.
