Key responsibilities:
- Craft advanced experimental plans, lead their execution, evaluate data, and write and review high-quality reports
- Lead multi-disciplinary matrix teams on complex projects within your area of scientific expertise, facilitating problem-solving and lessons learned activities
- Provide strong scientific, technical, and regulatory leadership for individual scientists and lab technicians on complex projects
- Assess novel technologies both theoretically and experimentally, including collaboration with external partners to provide solutions to identified risks, issues, and problems, reporting issues promptly
- Act as a deputy to the team manager when needed, ensuring seamless operations
- Facilitate improvements to departmental business processes and contribute to the implementation of innovative technologies
- Demonstrate flexibility to support other activities within the department as needed
- Proactively approach your continuous professional development to stay at the brand new of scientific advancements
Key requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field (e.g., bioengineering, chemical engineering)
- In-depth knowledge of lipid nanoparticle formulation processes
- Desirable experience in the conjugation of targeting moieties to LNP and their characterization
- Experience and strong hands-on expertise in encapsulation development for biomolecules, with a preference for experience in mRNA formulation in lipid nanoparticles
- Expert-level experience and understanding of handling, purification, and processing of biomolecules
- Experience with a wide range of analytical techniques for LNP characterization
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently work in a fast-paced and fluid environment, adapting to changes in priority and timeline restrictions
