Your mission

  • Contribution to multidisciplinary teams with own scientific expertise to achieve corporate and customer goals of challenging drug discovery projects within the field of insect cell culture
  • You will be responsible for development, execution and optimization of expression strategies for recombinant protein production in insect cells with the goal to reach protein amounts and quality suitable for our structural studies (cryoEM, crystallography)
  • Your main focus will be a high-throughput small- (<10mL) and mid-scale (<500mL) screening pipeline for our insect cell expression platform as well as supporting those efforts for E.coli
  • Preparation of all relevant project documentation (i.e. SOPs, technical reports, project plans, scientific presentations) will also be part of your work as well as their review and training
  • Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers and business partners

Your profile

  • Ph.D. in cell biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related field, with a strong focus on membrane protein signaling
  • At least 3 years of experience in a drug discovery environment, covering the process from screening to lead identification
  • Deep understanding of GPCR pharmacology and G-protein interactions
  • Hands-on experience with FLIPR or FDSS workstations
  • Proven expertise in other fluorescence- and luminescence-based GPCR assay technologies, such as TR-FRET, FRET, nanoBRET
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams across different projects
