Your responsibilities:

You are expected to establish an internationally leading research group in an experimental area of Chemistry with a strong focus on the synthesis and physicochemical characterization of Advanced Materials. In this context, interdisciplinary research is strongly encouraged.

The successful candidate is further expected to support teaching in Chemistry (lecture and laboratory courses) at the BSc, MSc, and PhD level, to develop and implement innovative, pedagogically sound approaches to online, hybrid and in-person teaching and learning, to advise students on their studies, and to supervise Bachelor, Master and PhD theses and research projects.

Your qualifications:

• PhD degree in the field of Chemistry or Material Science;
• Strong publication record;
• Experience and success in teaching in the context of international and diverse environments;
• Demonstrable interest in innovative teaching and learning approaches;
• Experience in transferring research knowledge to solving problems in engineering and science;
• Responsible, self-motivated person able to work independently and as a part of a team;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Intercultural experience and competence;
• Fluency in English, the language of instruction and communication on campus;
• Ideally, the successful candidate should be eligible to apply for an ERC Starting Grant.
