Assistant Professor in the Group of Research-teaching Staff (Physical Sciences)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • conducting scientific research in the discipline of physical sciences;
  • participation in the scientific projects and grants in the candidate’s county or in the scientific projects abroad;
  • teaching classes in the 1st cycle, 2nd cycle and doctoral studies for the Physics degree programme and the related programme as well as for the Computer Science degree programme;
  • applying for research grants;
  • realization of organizational duties in accordance with the Individual Assignment of Duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • minimum PhD in the discipline of physical sciences;
  • conducting research in the discipline of theoretical physics;
  • recent, high-scoring scientific achievements in the discipline of physical sciences indexed in Scopus or Web of Science;
  • scientific mobility, documented scientific visits (short-term and long-term visits) in the candidate’s country and abroad;
  • work in the international group of scientists or international collaboration documented by publications;
  • activity in minimum one of the following areas: precise calculations of the elementary particles physics, phenomenology of the Standard Model and its extensions in the present and future particle physics experiments, or development of methods and tools for calculations of the multi-dimensional Feymann’s integrals, documented by publications;
  • ability to work with the computer algebra systems, knowledge of C++, Python, Mathematics, and the linux system;
  • experience in teaching classes in the higher education institution;
  • experience in conducting classes using tools for distance learning;
  • confirmed didactic mobility in the candidate’s country or abroad;
  • command of English that allows for teaching classes;
  • command of Polish that allows for conducting classes or readiness to learn Polish (in the case of foreign candidates).

  • documented forms of professional development in the scope of academic teaching or pedagogical training;
  • readiness to take up the role of the leader of a research team;
  • readiness for the research/didactic mobility;
  • readiness to share the knowledge and experience with others;
  • ability to work in a research team;
  • self-reliance and good work organization skills;
  • proactive attitude and initiative.
