The School of Life Sciences at EPFL and its Global Health Institute invite applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in Infection Biology & Immunology.
We are seeking candidates with a strong track record and promising future research interests in fields related to host-pathogen interactions, infection biology, or immunology. Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the mechanistic aspects of viral, bacterial, fungal, or parasitic infections; innate or adaptive immune responses to these pathogens; emerging viruses; pathogen spillover; epidemiology; diagnostic tool development; drug discovery; and vaccinology.
The future Assistant Professor will develop an independent research program, demonstrate the ability to acquire third-party funding, and supervise PhD students and postdocs.
The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and contribute to education programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels of the Life Science Engineering teaching section.
