RESPONSIBILITIES:
- conducting scientific research as a part of the project „Photodynamics of metal complexes with 2,6-bis(thiazol-2-yl) pyridine derivatives functionalized by aryls and N-donors as potential photoactive cytostatics” led by PhD Anna Maroń;
- realization of organizational duties for the Faculty and the University arising from the regulations of the University of Silesia and included in the Individual Assignment of Duties.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD degree in chemical sciences (diploma granted by other university than University of Silesia in Katowice);
- experience in the scope of conducting research in the discipline of chemical sciences;
- scientific achievements in the discipline of chemical sciences (indexed in Scopus/Web of Science);
- knowledge of research methods including organic and inorganic synthesis, identification of coordination compounds using spectroscopic, x-ray and electrochemical techniques; studies of spectroscopic properties of coordination compounds, in particular with use of electronic spectroscopy techniques, the ability to use the equipment including IR spectrometers, UV-Vis, NIR, potentiostats, spectrofluorimeters;
- computer skills in terms of specialist software operation, e.g: Orgin/MATLAB/MS Office/Mercury/MestReNova/Omnic.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- basic knowledge of femtosecond spectroscopy and bioinorganic chemistry methods will be of advantage;
- experience in managing/realization/acquiring research projects/grants, especially ERC grants, will be of advantage;
- documented history of applying for financing in the institutions in the country or abroad;
- documented 3-month scientific internship in the candidate’s country or abroad;
- readiness to work in a research team;
- readiness to scientific mobility as a part of visits abroad included in the grant;
- readiness to share one’s knowledge and experience at scientific conferences and science popularization events.
