Your tasks:

  • Lead independent research efforts within the Department of Dermatology and assist with the analysis and interpretation of data produced within the Working Group of Dermatological Immunotherapy;
  • Formulate analytical plans that use the best approach to address challenging data analysis questions and assist investigators in finding and using available bioinformatics software to address research needs;
  • Lead design, organization, data processing, statistical analysis, network analysis and/or data visualization tasks of bioinformatic datasets;
  • Develop and/or establish standard analytical bioinformatic workflows for assigned projects;
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of manuscripts for publication;
  • Support and contribute to novel research initiatives and grant applications;
  • Participate in collaborative research projects with interdepartmental investigators in basic and clinical research.

Your profile:

  • A relevant Master's degree or PhD with several years of relevant post-degree experience;
  • A proven track record of analyzing bulk and singlecell sequencing data related to immunological projects;
  • A strong computational background, proficiency in R and at least one additional scripting language, as well as knowledge in biostatistics;
  • A background in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, and/or cancer biology are highly preferred;
  • Fluent proficiency in English, ideally basic command of the German language.
