Leading Bioinformatic Researcher (Single-cell)

Your tasks:
- Lead independent research efforts within the Department of Dermatology and assist with the analysis and interpretation of data produced within the Working Group of Dermatological Immunotherapy;
- Formulate analytical plans that use the best approach to address challenging data analysis questions and assist investigators in finding and using available bioinformatics software to address research needs;
- Lead design, organization, data processing, statistical analysis, network analysis and/or data visualization tasks of bioinformatic datasets;
- Develop and/or establish standard analytical bioinformatic workflows for assigned projects;
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of manuscripts for publication;
- Support and contribute to novel research initiatives and grant applications;
- Participate in collaborative research projects with interdepartmental investigators in basic and clinical research.
Your profile:
- A relevant Master's degree or PhD with several years of relevant post-degree experience;
- A proven track record of analyzing bulk and singlecell sequencing data related to immunological projects;
- A strong computational background, proficiency in R and at least one additional scripting language, as well as knowledge in biostatistics;
- A background in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, and/or cancer biology are highly preferred;
- Fluent proficiency in English, ideally basic command of the German language.
