Postdoc - Advanced Focused Ion Beam Applications

Your tasks
- Implementation of IBC user experiments and scientific collaboration with IBC and RIANA users;
- Develop and strengthen your own FIB centric research profile;
- Interaction with RIANA ion beam users during the preparation, implementation and interpretation of their experiments (within the RIANA project);
- Presentation and publication of results at meetings, conferences and scientific papers;
- Outreach and user acquisition for FIB based materials modification and analysis.
Your profile
- Completed university studies (PhD) in the field of solid state physics, materials science or comparable natural sciences;
- An excellent PhD degree in Physics, Materials science or a related field;
- Hands-on experience in the operation of FIB instruments;
- Good knowledge of the underlying ion beam physics;
- The ability to lead the development of new experimental techniques based on FIBs;
- Very good teamwork skills with ability to collaborate with experimentalists and theorists;
- Very good English language skills (spoken and written).
