Your primary responsibility will be to lead the analytical design, development, and final validation of assays in collaboration with cross-organizational project teams.
Your key responsibilities:
- Conducting literature research to inform the design, development, and validation of novel analytical methods (such as immune-assays and enzymatic activity assays) across various matrices.
- Ensuring the verification and seamless transfer of assays to external laboratories for routine analysis.
- Collaborating with lab technicians in planning daily activities during the development phase and taking ownership of protocols, reports, and documentation in the validation stages.
- Introducing innovative solutions to enhance the speed, miniaturization, and automation of sample preparation and of the overall analytical workflow, including data acquisition, analysis, and visualization.
- Serving as the key analytical expert in cross-organizational project teams.
- Conducting customer visits and bringing expert technical support for troubleshooting activities.
- Participating in external networking activities.
- Contributing to the development of lab strategy and overall competence.
You bring:
- A Masters Degree with experience, or a PhD in biology, biochemistry, enzymology or related fields.
- Hands-on experience in assay development and/or optimization.
- Preferably some experience in feed analysis and enzymatic activity assays.
- Adaptability in work approach, suitable for both early-stage projects focused on ideation and late-stage projects with defined procedures, regulatory considerations, and quality requirements.
- A receptive attitude towards new work methodologies, including digitalization and automation.
- Motivation, proactivity, and a collaborative mindset, capable of working flexibly across diverse projects and engaging with internal and external stakeholders in an international setting.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
